I have been in a teaching environment for over 30 years as a classroom trainer and as a practical driver trainer I'm very patient.

This has helped me with Taekwondo as I am used to dealing with many different ages and abilities.

I have been running Colchester Taekwondo for 17 years I started at the age of 40 with my son and I’m still going strong.

I started my training in 2001,I particularly enjoy the patterns and self-defence element.

Assistant Instructor Felipe Fleury
4th Degree Black Belt
I have always been interested in martial arts since watching the 'Karate Kid'.
I plucked up the courage to go along to a Taekwondo class in 2006 after that I was hooked. I’ve also spent time doing judo and kickboxing.
I was really proud of my achievement when I received by black belt in 2009 and have continued to work my way up to my 4th degree, which I received in 2021.
The club has always had a friendly atmosphere and it’s been great to meet so many people along the way.
I have also represented the club at a range of competitions over the years I have won quite a few medals in that time. I enjoy helping others students in their martial arts journey and my own daughter is now a student of Taekwondo.
